Ready or not, here comes 2024!

The meeting's focus is 24 for '24: TWENTY-FOUR URGENT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE 2024 ELECTIONS

An "Ad Hoc Committee for 2024 Election Fairness and Legitimacy" (a cross-ideological, interdisciplinary, and broadly diverse group of election experts convened under the auspices of UCLA's Safeguarding Democracy Project) provides 24 urgent recommendations covering law, politics, media, and tech, to bolster the actual fairness of elections AND public confidence in them.

Committee member Dr. Julia Azari is our January speaker. Azari is Professor of Political Science at Marquette University. She is one of the hosts of the podcast series Politics in Question, and is the author of Delivering the People's Message: The Changing Politics of the Presidential Mandate. Azari is a regular contributor at the political science blog The Mischiefs of Faction. Her work has also appeared in the Washington Post’s Monkey Cage blog and in Politico. She is the inaugural winner of the American Political Science Association's award for best public-facing scholar. She has a Ph.D. in political science from Yale University.
